Get Me to the Church on Time

Rainy weather was moving in so we took a road trip to Cadillac to see our son and family while it was still nice. We were enjoying the ride so much that we drove right past our exit and finally realized it about 45 minutes later. Oh well, we just considered it a little color tour! Family time is precious since our time together is limited. It was exciting to meet our new great granddaughter. Oh how precious. The great grandsons are getting so big and developing such sweet personalities. Both Mom and Dads are doing such a great job raising these little people. Whether they know it or not, they have taken on one of the hardest jobs they will ever encounter. Sure makes us proud!

We used up all our good weather coupons because it rained on and off for the next 3 days, so it was perfect timing for laundry, shopping, packing etc. because wit was time to make the trip downstate to Ypsilanti, MI for 3 days for the weddings. Our solution to attending the 2 weddings on the same day worked out perfect. I stayed at the Bed & Breakfast where my granddaughter got married, Rob stayed at the motorhome, tended to Baxter, and drove to his sons house the next day where his granddaughter got  married. After the wedding he came back to the motorhome and then I came back on Sunday. On Monday we  started our next journey, eventually settling in Huachuca City, AZ.

The weddings went just as planned…outdoors and perfect. Of course, they were beautiful brides. Covid 19 has created many hardships and difficulties for this past year but these 2 couples showed us how to overcome those adversities. With a sigh of relief we were able to concentrate on our upcoming travel plans making sure we have a safe route and reservations. There is a certain amount of uncertainties due to COVID-19. We are prepared and flexible. No reason to be any other way.

Our first main destination is Sioux Falls, SD so we can vote.

Until we are settled, I will sign off. I hope you all are healthy, and happy. It’s always important to get outdoors, but especially during this time of unrest and illness. Please take precautions when necessary and when outdoors, no matter where you are, don’t forget to look up, it amazing up there.
