The Wandering Bug Never Left Us

Hey everyone, its been a really long time since I have felt like picking up where I left off.  It's been over a year since I have even considered looking at my blog, so I will try not to bore y'all too much.

In the last year since I have been on here, a lot has happened in our little piece of the world. First and foremost, 3 more great grandbabies have been born and my sister sold her farm and moved closer to us. She is 35 minutes away instead of 90.

The inside of the house is finally done, thank goodness. It was not an easy task, nor a cheap one.  It goes without saying, had it not been for having a builder in the family, we would probably still be struggling to get it done.

With the interior of the house done, it afforded us time to tend to the many projects outdoors. They seem to be never ending. But it's gratifying when neighbors stop by and comment on how nice the yard looks.

I had a scary eye incident , that left me with partial vision in my left eye. Doctors have no idea why it happens, but, after a little time to adjust, I can see fine.

With all that being said, the urge to explore the country has never left us, but is costly traveling around and having to pay for motels and Vrbo's, not to mention eating out. We are definitely spoiled by having a motorhome at our beck and call for so long. We still miss it! The best way to remedy this urge, was to buy another RV of some kind.....so we did. It will be a totally different experience for us. It's a 20' travel trailer, self contained and has everything we need.

Since we had to cancel our trip out west last winter, we are picking up where we left off. Our plans are to leave here just before Christmas and plan on being in SE Arizona by Jan 1-2. We have rented a furnished 5th wheel for our 3 months there. We are taking our trailer for travel accommodations while on th road, and, also, we can make short trips in AZ, traveling to visit friends, and find places we haven't explored yet.

We plan to catch up with some of the many friends we have made in the past 8 years during our travels. There are many places in AZ we have visited, but so many more to see. We are ready to be out the snow and cold, and feel the warmth of sunshine on our faces. So until our next visit here, stay healthy,  get outdoors to explore, and don't forget to look up, its amazing out there.
